There are many cancers some of them with better recovery rates some of them with worse. Let’s have a look at lung cancer statistics.

Don’t be alarmed with these lung cancer statistics. Although this cancer has significant loss of life it is hope with education the number of occurrences will be reduced.

1. More people die from lung cancer than form any other cancer type. 2. In 2003 lung cancer caused more deaths than prostate cancer, colon cancer, and breast caner combined. 3. In 2003 105,508 men were diagnosed with lung cancer and 84,789 women. 4. In 2003 89,906 men died from lung cancer and 68,084 women. 5. Lung cancer is the second most common cancer in the United States among blacks, whites, Asian/Pacific Islanders, Alaska Native men, and American Indian. 6. Lung cancer is the third most common cancer among Hispanic men. 7. The number of men dying from lung cancer has gone down according to recent lung cancer statistics. This is because of the reduction in smoking, which began in the late 71’s. 8. Death rates amount US males is lower than among other countries. 9. During the next 10 years .3% of men who are 60 years old will die from lung cancer. 10. The risk of death as a result of lung cancer increases with age and it is higher in men than in women

2003 is the most current year for many lung cancer statistics. But even so you can see some definite trends. If you fit the profile there is no better time than right now to change your thinking and buying habits.
