Many people grew up in homes and in an environment where asbestos was one of the ingredients used in the paint or in the insulation that keep the cold winter wind outside where it belongs. Now with lung cancer that is not totally true. Since the early 1970’s the Surgeons General of the United States has deemed smoking cigarettes and other tobacco containing products hazardous to your health. Smoking causes so many unfortunate deaths today because people find it hard to quit.

Much like any addiction, smoking cessation is tough. The chances of success are greater if you would use many of the interventional methods available to you today.

Whether you catch this disease sooner or not is hard to tell. What are some treatments for asbestos cancers?

Fourth -  photo dynamic therapy PDT for short. This is novel experimental treatment that shoots light into the cancerous cells after a special substance has been thrust into the bloodstream. The dye is absorbed into the cells and the light recognizes and kills them off.
